Is keyword Research Necessary for Webpage Content?

The fundamental reason for keyword research is to find popular (regularly used) phrases people enter into the search engines to find information.

But it is merely a starting point…

The days of creating webpages optimized for one particular keyword phrase are pretty much over. As the internet has evolved search engine users have become savvier; they have learned to use longer search phrases to find the information they are looking for. This is in part due to millions of webmasters who have pretty much saturated the internet with junk pages optimized for short keyword phrases.

Always Check Your Affiliate Links!

Filed under: From My Point of View by colevans @ 1:30 pm | Comments (1)

Today I sent an email to my list and it contained an affiliate link to a report by Joel Comm called The Adsense Traffic Guide. I took the link straight from the email Joel sent and never bothered to check it.

Big mistake!

The affiliate link contained the wrong domain and my subscribers ended up on the wrong webpage…

Always check your affiliate links before you publish them in an email or webpage.

Sending people to the wrong site hurts your credibility and not only will you lose the immediate sale, but quite probably subsequent sales. People can be very unforgiving when they put their trust in you and you screw up.

On the other side of the coin, if you rely on affiliates to promote your products, make sure the affiliate link you send to them to promote your product is correct. Once your affiliates lose credibility through your error, you stand to lose affiliates and a lot of sales!

One further point, once you realize you’ve made an error, correct it immediately. The longer you leave it the more you stand to lose.

Buying pre-made Adsense Websites is one of the easiest ways of getting involved in building money making websites, but without proper modification and promotion they are virtually useless! No matter whom you buy them from (including from me)…

You can take a limited edition “off the shelf” pre-made website and make money from it (as it is) within days. Do it right, and you’ll be in profit within six weeks. The secret is in the promotion, but it’s worth pointing out that the effects of your initial promotion efforts will die out after two months or so.

Relying on your promotion efforts alone, is not going to keep a standard pre-made site earning continuously. If you keep skirting the issue of proper search engine optimization and don’t do anything to avoid duplicate filtering by the search engines, you will come to grief.

So what can you do to keep your pre-made websites earning after the first two months? (more…)
