Can You Really Profit From Pre-made Adsense Websites?

Buying pre-made Adsense Websites is one of the easiest ways of getting involved in building money making websites, but without proper modification and promotion they are virtually useless! No matter whom you buy them from (including from me)…

You can take a limited edition “off the shelf” pre-made website and make money from it (as it is) within days. Do it right, and you’ll be in profit within six weeks. The secret is in the promotion, but it’s worth pointing out that the effects of your initial promotion efforts will die out after two months or so.

Relying on your promotion efforts alone, is not going to keep a standard pre-made site earning continuously. If you keep skirting the issue of proper search engine optimization and don’t do anything to avoid duplicate filtering by the search engines, you will come to grief.

So what can you do to keep your pre-made websites earning after the first two months?

  1. Only buy pre-made websites which give you private label rights to the main articles. This allows you to make any changes you wish, make an effort to re-write the following:
    1. The Page title, keyword metatag details and the description metatag details. Not many people bother with this and it is the most obvious part of any website for a search engine to compare with their duplicate content filters. The description metatag is often used by search engines in their search listings, so make your description metatag an advertisement for the webpage.
    2. The Titles of each article.A big chunk of text on each of your pages is the menu text. People who create and sell pre-made sites, sell them to many people (I limit mine to 50 sales of each site). This means there will be a lot of websites online with the exact same menu text. Even if you rewrite the articles but leave the titles the same, the search engines will still see the duplicate menu text through their duplicate content filtering, and could filter out your website from the search listings.
    3. The main articles.
      • Your best option is to rewrite the articles into your own words.
      • At the very least change the paragraph and sentence structure.
      • Add a few synonyms (different words but with the same meaning).
      • Change the keyword density for the main keyword phrase.
      • The whole idea is to make your articles completely different from any other website.

    4. The footer text. This is another area often ignored, so change the text in the footer on every page to something unique to your website. Most pre-made websites use a footer template (or include) so you should only have to change one file and it will make site wide changes.
    5. Image name and alt text.If your site has any images, change the image names and the alt text to something that includes your primary keyword but also describes the image or webpage.
    6. The basic html structure of your webpage is a big “fingerprint” in itself. Especially if your CSS class tags and ID tags are exactly the same as other websites. It’s pretty easy for the search engines to strip away all the text and just leave the basic html structure to compare with other sites. If you have the technical expertise, make changes to the CSS tag names and html structure to make your site truly unique.
    7. The file names. The last change you could make to create a truly unique site is to rename the files. Most pre-made websites use dynamic websites, so the changes will automatically be incorporated in your website.
  2. Before you re-write the articles on your pre-made site, find different high traffic, low competition keywords to target for each page. Targeting different keywords gives your site much more chance to be well ranked in the search engines, and you won’t have to compete with the websites of other people who also bought the same pre-made website. Use the keywords in:
    • The page title
    • The description metatag
    • The keywords metatag
    • The main heading
    • The header logo alt tags
    • The main article text - Once in the first sentence, once in the last sentence and two or three times in the rest of the text, use a few synonyms as well. You might want to highlight one instance of the keyword by bolding the text. Don’t just highlight the keywords; make it look like you’re emphasizing a point.
  3. Even after making all the changes indicated in the first two points, your site is dead in the water until you promote it. Here are a couple of ideas:
    1. Write articles related to each of the main pages of your site and submit them to EzineArticles.com. If you write the articles targeting keywords that have around 10,000 exact match (the keyword in quotes e.g. “increase website traffic”) competing pages in Google, your articles will quite possibly get into the top 10 search results. If your resource box at the bottom of each article has a compelling reason for readers to visit your website, you will receive targeted traffic to your website.
    2. Join a few social bookmarking websites (e.g. Del.icio.us or Furl) and bookmark each of your main pages using as many related tags as you can. Make your bookmarks public and you could receive extra traffic from them.

The combined effects of these three points will be increased traffic and a number of one way back links pointing to your websites, which will improve your search engine rankings. These links will bring the search engines to your site and they will index and rank it.Â

Don’t leave your income from pre-made Adsense websites to chance, make use of the advice in the three tips and your website will start receiving traffic almost from day one. Not only that, it will become profitable within six weeks or less, and that includes buying a .com domain.

By getting your website highly ranked in the search engine for different high traffic, low competition keywords than other owners of the pre-made Adsense website, you will receive search engine traffic well after the effect of your initial promotion dies out…
